PROJECT COORDINATOR
Bere Tamás – Project coordination and local implementation

Real leadership begins on the tatami – and extends into the community.
Bere Tamás is the head instructor of Budai Judo Akadémia and serves as the national project coordinator for the Hungarian segment of the USSI Erasmus+ programme. With over 20 years of experience in judo instruction and youth sports education, he oversees the local implementation of project activities and ensures alignment with the international programme framework.
His responsibilities include coordinating workshops, mentoring sessions, and school-based activities, as well as maintaining communication with partner institutions across Europe and the Western Balkans. Tamás plays a key role in adapting the project’s methodology to the local context, ensuring that its values — inclusion, mutual respect, and personal development through martial arts — are effectively realised in practice.
Through his leadership, the Hungarian team contributes to the wider goals of the USSI project: promoting sport as a tool for social impact and strengthening the role of martial arts coaches as community leaders.
