Empowering Coaches, Strengthening Communities

A martial arts-based approach to inclusive sport education across Europe

The USSI Erasmus+ project brings together partners from across Europe to develop innovative, inclusive methods for educating martial arts coaches. Rooted in the values of respect, discipline, and non-discrimination, the program aims to empower coaches to become community leaders and role models — far beyond the dojo.

Through international cooperation, USSI provides a framework for teaching that combines practical training with social engagement. Trainers receive resources in four languages, participate in workshops and camps, and are supported through a mentoring system that fosters growth both as educators and as citizens.

By focusing on social inclusion, cultural exchange, and educational development, USSI encourages coaches to reach underrepresented communities and promote martial arts as a tool for social impact. The project offers a structured approach to learning, while also building a European network of like-minded professionals committed to making sport more accessible and meaningful.

USSI is more than a training program — it’s a movement for social impact through sport.
